The Honolulu Advertiser's Newspaper in Education Program and isisHawaii present an annual showcase of STEM-education initiatives in Hawaii. The fourth annual 2009 STEM Hawaii special edition was released on Wed, April 8, 2009. Furlough Fri Workshop

Looking for an activity for Furlough Fridays for your high schooler?  Sopogy is hosting a Furlough Friday Workshop this Friday from 8:30-2:30 at their WaiWai Loop facility.

The workshop is free of charge and open to high school students, especially for those students interested in science, technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Going on A Scavenger Hunt

Equipped with GPS units, 90 Waipahu Intermediate School students were on the hunt for various UH Manoa locations--including Hawaii Hall, Campus Center, Ka Leo and Varney Circle--on Tuesday, October 27. The hands-on, high-tech scavenger hunt aimed to introduce and increase student interest in GPS technology while exposing the group to the 320-acre University of Hawaii at Manoa campus.
