Through the STEM Hawaii website, Educators and Industry members can collaborate to create relevant projects that demonstrate real-world applications of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These projects can effectively inform and inspire students to pursue further learning and careers in STEM-related pathways. This creates opportunities to ensure economic sustainability for communities in Hawaii.

2012 Walk Story (IPU/KULA)

May 26, 2012 - "Walk Story" is an evaluative activity designed for isisHawaii Ipu Waiwai projects being conducted at Nanakuli/Wai‘anae public elementary schools on the west coast of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. Dr. VerlieAnn Malina-Wright (EdD) interviewed participating teachers to learn more about their project experiences.

"Walk Story" also includes an interview with one of the "Ipu Waiwai Kula - ‘AE (Aquaponics in Education)" project teachers (JewelynnK). Implementation for KULA is scheduled in SY2012-13, pending construction of aquaponic enclosures.
